Below is a detail list of some of the innumerable services that are provided to the men who are involved in the Bethesda Discipleship Home.

Services Provided

The services to the men that participate in the Bethesda Discipleship Home program include but are not limited to:

    1. Structured Environment
        I. There are many rules for the men to follow which enable them to learn
             and to practice:
            A. Obeying authority(ies)
            B. Possessing temperance
            C. Responsibility(ies)
            D. Order
            E. Safety
            F. Cleanliness
            G. Carrying out structure in their personal lives

    2. Daily Chapel Services

        I. Everyday the men will congregate to hear teaching from the Bible which
            expound on:
            A. Practical teachings in instruction
                Examples. Living a responsible life
                                Being loyal  
            B. Applicable Biblical principles
            C. Biblical Doctrines (Healthy Biblical way of living life)

    3. Individual Mentorship
        I. The BDHome Director will weekly meet one-on-one with Disciples to
            listen, and guide Disciples alone to success.
        II. To train them to invest their lives into the life of another man too.

    4. Group Interaction
        I. The men will always be participating with other men in different
            functions in order to teach them how to:
            A. Patience
            B. Long-suffering
            C. Comradeship
            D. Serve others
            E. Compassion
            F. Love
            G. labor in team work 

    5. Special Needs Mentorship
        I. Life at times brings all of us the experience of a heavy burden or a deep
           trial. BDHome offers various means to assist a Disciple if needs some
           extra help in ways, which are not limited to:
            A. Extra mentorship
            B. Special transportation to places and appointments.
            C.  Special activities designed to assist the Disciple 

    6. Access to Pastoral Biblical Counseling at the Lighthouse Baptist Church

    7. Family Programs
        I. The family is very important to us here at The BDHome. The Family is a
            resource that God has given us and it is one of our goals that the
            Disciple’s family will be benefited and strengthen too. In order to serve
            the Disciple’s family’s we encourage and create family activities. We do
            this in order that the Disciple and his family too can grow to become a
            closer knit family, teach one another social skills, develop creativity
            within the family, teach problem solving, and build wonderful memories.
            The BDHome at times will have special activities where the Disciple’s
            immediate family is invited over fellowship in ways, which are not
            limited to:
            A. Family Bar-B-Que or cookout Day
            B. Family Game Day
            C. Family Chapel Service Day

    8.  Weekly Reformers Unanimous Addictions Program participation for FREE
        I. The Disciples are required to participate in the RU weekly classes
            at the Lighthouse Baptist Church on Friday evenings at 7:00 P.M. in
            order to receive instruction in:
            A. Corrective behavior modification education and training
            B. Also, to participate with additional mentoring
            C. and building lasting healthy relationships with other individuals. 

     9.  Reformers Unanimous Behavior Modification Curriculum
        I. The Disciples at the BDHome are required to educate themselves and
            one source of education that they are required to participate in is the RU
            Curriculum. We require the RU Curriculum participation in order to
            assist the Disciples to:
            A. Build a dynamic love relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ
            B. Get them into the Bible everyday
            C. Assist in overcoming their addiction and sinful habits
            D. Experience a longevity of life altering changes

    10.BDHome Case Management (Not government nor medically influenced)
        I. The BDHome is not a treatment program. Therefore, we do not offer any
            kind of medical or psychological treatment. The BDHome solely relies on
            the Word of God through the Holy Bible, prayer, fasting, and Truthful
            decision making in order to guide a man to the Instructions and Truths
            for any of life’s problems.
        II. The Holy Bible is The BDHome’s Management. Each Disciple will be
             guided from the Principles and Truths of the Holy Bible for personal:
            A. Growth
            B. Improvements
            C. Developments
            D. Maturity

    11. Parenting Skills Training
        I. It is vitally important for men to learn skills, knowledge, and principles in
            order to serve as a capable, responsible, and effective parent whether
            today or in the future. The BDHome will inform the Disciples of parenting
            courses and classes offered periodically at the Lighthouse Baptist
            Church. If needed on a individual Disciple basis, The BDHome might
            require a Disciple to attend these teachings.  

    12.  Life Skills Training
        I. We at The BDHome realize the importance of personal development in
             order to be the best that God wants us to be with all our resources.
        II. Disciples will be educated in:
            A. Verbal/Nonverbal communication skills
            B. Active listening skills
            C. Temperance
            D. Negotiation and conflict management
            E. Assertive skills
            F. Refusal Skills
                and many other life skills that we all need in life. 

    13. Employment/Job Guidance
        I. We will guide them to the correct agencies that can successfully serve
            the Disciples in obtaining full time employment. Those agencies include
            but are not limited to:
            A. BDHome List of Companies and contact info that hire felons.
            B. List of Local Employment Agencies and contact info.    
            C. Government Sponsored Employment Agencies and Help. 

    14. Small Group Support
        I. The Disciples will be encouraged to hold one another accountable in
            different issues of their lives. We will also promote and do small group
            activities such as:
            A. Small group Bible studies
            B. Small group community service projects
            C. Small Accountability groups within the RU Friday night program

    15. Outreach Services to the community
        I. One indirect way to obtain personal growth and success is to serve other
            people. The BDHome requires the Disciples to participate in weekly
            outreaches and community service projects. The BDHome will put
            together these projects and inform the Disciples ahead of time in the
            projects they must do. Some of the projects will include but not limited
            to:
            A. Cleaning the Lighthouse Church
            B. Raking an elderly lady’s leaves
            C. Outreach street evangelism
            D. Cleaning a local neighborhood
            E. Volunteer for a local business in whatever need they have
            F. Painting a fence, etc.

    16. GED/Education Programs Guidance
        I. The BDHome will strongly encourage Disciples to continue with their
            secular education whether in the basics of GED or in college courses.
        II. The BDHome will support and direct individual Disciples of where they
             can go to study and receive their GED.

        I. We will also provide other services to guide Disciples alone in other
            personal needs. We will not do the work for them. But we will direct
            them to the resources to give them an encouragement in the successful 
            completion of the work in the need such as:
            A. Social Security Benefits
            B. Welfare and Food stamps
            C. Bus pass and other transpiration assistance
