Happy Easter my friends! This week gives me great encouragement because of the wonderful memorial that the world is reminded to celebrate of the Lord Jesus’ death, burial and victorious resurrection for sins. I thank Him so much for allowing me to see that I am a sinner who needs His saving grace each and every day of my life. Thank you Lord!
I write with a contrite heart but with great joy. Always, the Lord’s work is a joy to be part of, but sorrow feels my heart. I am joyful, and I would ask you to keep in prayer, for a man by the name of Meles. He and his family do not know Jesus as their personal Savior. God brought him into my life, and I have been trying to build a friendship with him, while trying to answer his questions. This young man is filled with enormous intellectual knowledge of the Bible, but he lacks knowledge of God’s Word in his heart. He express that he wants to know Jesus as his Savior but and here are his words, “….I just can’t believe. I can’t get myself to believe.” Though, I answer his questions, I believe God wants to see him saved through much prayer. I can explain God to him for a million years, but if God does not reveal Himself to the man, there is no hope. Please pray for him. Thank you.
I am sorrowful, nonetheless, it is what the Lord is allowing right now; I had to close the men’s discipleship home for a time being. We were lacking funds to pay for needs that take money. This is a continual supplication of mine to the Lord. Especially, when I know of another great brother in the Lord getting out of prison in 2 months, and I am not able to offer a place to live with other Christians as I would like to see happened. Nonetheless, God is in control and He knows why He is allowing this trial to manifest itself. Please pray that God will make a way possible for me to reopen the men’s home. For the time being, I have placed all of the things that were previously donated to the men’s home into a safe storage. The guys that were living with me, before I closed it, I assisted them in their search for a new residency.
I would like to end on a joyful note. The Lord has been working in the background of life and is in the works of getting a book published that I put together. Then later on this year, I hope to have another book published. For now, I will say they are in relation to the important subject of the Christ’s Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20. I look forward for this book to be released so that it may be another tool for Christians to use to provoke them unto greater more effective works in our Lord Jesus Christ. Please keep this in prayer.
Again, as always I really covet and appreciate your prayer. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me or write me anytime: LawrenceWBowman@aol.com, or
